bIOCALIBRA

BioCalibra Is an automatic calibration device developed by the CALAGUA group that can experimentally determine the most widely accepted kinetic and stoichiometric parameters of simulated WWTP models.

BioCalibra optimises the experimental calibration process and reduces both the analysis time and human resources required for its application.

It includes equipment monitoring and control software that can configure a wide range of different tests and process the data obtained. The software includes tools such as optimal design of experiments (ODE), which provides maximum reliability of the results with the minimum of experiments.

BioCalibra can carry out almost completely automatically the necessary experiments for the calibration of the most important parameters of activated sludge models. It can also perform a wide range of experiments to evaluate biological process operations, including determining wastewater biodegradability and checking for the presence of toxic compounds, possible types of interference and their potential impact on the treatment processes.
